La música, las escapadas a la ciudad, el sentimiento de comunidad y el afecto que solo se encuentra entre las amigas, periféricas como tú. ¿Cómo se crece, cómo se desenvuelve una mujer trans o una lesbiana, racializadas, precarias, en un entorno católico y cerrado ante las identidades no normativas?, ¿será que en lo colectivo, en los referentes, en la denuncia y en el amor se vislumbra un futuro esperanzador?

Luz and Denise grew up amid the adversities of belonging to the LGBTQ community in the favelas of the city of São Paulo. Between rap songs and the teachings of the church, both walk with along their youthful dreams, although sometimes they clash with their closest environment.

Music, city trips, the feeling of community and the affection that is only found among friends, peripheral like you. How does one grow up, how does a trans woman or a lesbian, racialized, precarious, develop in a catholic environment that is usually closed to non-normative identities? Could it be that in the collective, in the referents, in the denunciation and in love there exists a hopeful future in sight?
