Akira Kamiki

Akira Kamiki es une directore brasileñe nacide y criade en Sao Paulo. En 2013 se graduó con una licenciatura en fotografía, con un enfoque en el cine. Se graduó en Dirección de Cine en 2017 y actualmente está estudiando un MA de escritura de guiones en Goldsmith, Universidad de Londres.
Activista de la comunidad LGBT + brasileña, Akira hasta ahora ha escrito y dirigido cinco cortometrajes, incluidas tres películas Queer. La película debut, "Afterglow", fue aceptada en más de 40 festivales de cine, incluido el 36º Festival Internacional de Vancouver, y ha ganado cinco premios. Akira Kamiki is a Brazilian director born and raised in Sao Paulo. In 2013 graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, with a focus on filmmaking. Graduated in Film Directing in 2017 and is currently studying a Screenwriting MA at Goldsmith, University of London.
An activist of the Brazilian LGBT+ community, Akira has so far written and directed five shorts, including three Queer films. The debut film, “Afterglow”, was accepted into more than 40 film festivals, including the 36th Vancouver International, and has won five awards. “Top 10 Places to Visit in Sao Paulo” screened at the ‘42 Frameline Film Festival’, the oldest and largest LGBTQ film exhibition event in the world, and was also part of the ‘28th Inside Out Toronto’.
